OUR PROGRAMS

 

I Prep offers individualized programs that cater to the needs of each student.  We believe that in addition to solid foundational academic skills, character development and social skills are vital.   We ask our students and parents to not strive for immediate results but rather to slowly build up a lifelong set of valuable skills and values.  We strongly stress the importance of good habits and routines as they are the foundations on which greatness is built.  

 

Semester Based Programs:

Academic studies at I Prep are rigorous.  We stress active reading skills and comprehension, daily journal writing, academic vocabulary, and problem solving math.  Our small group tutoring philosophy allows us to cater to each child's academic needs while helping them develop important collaborative practices so that they become critically thinking contributors in any setting.

I Prep also provides enrichment camps and trips throughout the year.  We have camps that focus on different themes such as architecture, robotics, and computer programming.   Our trips include museums, art centers, music centers, gymnastics, and so much more!

They will succeed even more when they have confidence.  It is the factor that drives success.  Students need certain skills and tools to gain that confidence and I Prep's goal is to equip students with these skills and tools.

Registration Open for:

Saturday Tutoring Sessions

     Phonics (Pre-K to 2nd grade)

  • 1:1 1 hour session available from 9am to 2pm

  • Based on Orto-Gillingham phonics program

  • Individualized instruction

  • Build solid decoding skills and expand fluency

      Reading & Writing Workshop (2nd and 3rd grade)

  • Sessions available: 11-1pm, 1-3pm

  • Reading skills (Inference, compare and contrast, sequence, summarize, author’s craft, prediction, finding the theme, main idea, finding evidence)

  • Writing Skills (grammar, vocabulary, narrative writing, informational writing, opinion writing)

  

      PSAT PREP (7th to 9th grade)  

  • Available Session: 9am-11am

  • Heart of Algebra (functions, applications of linear equations, system of equations, polynomials, exponent and radicals, quadratic functions)

  • Verbal (Grammar review, academic vocabulary in context, reading comprehension and literary analysis)
